Horspath Parish Council
Tuesday 7th May 2019 - Monthly meeting of the Parish Council in Horspath Village Hall at 8.00pm. The Agenda of the meeting will be available nearer the date. (The Minutes of the April meeting will be available here and on the Village Noticeboard within a few days of the May meeting.)
Horspath Stone Pit Trust website is now live.
Applications for grants in this quarter must be made by 1st June 2019.
Any applications received after that date will be considered at the September 2019 Trustees' meeting.

Friends of Horspath - Horspath Hub @ the Old Chapel
If you would like to view or to hire Horspath Hub at the Old Chapel for an event or a regular activity let the Bookings Clerk know by emailing to or by phoning 07591 933 964.
Join Friends of Horspath. We now need as many people in the village as possible to join Friends of Horspath, not just for the keeping of the Chapel, but to help fulfill its charitable aims - "To improve and advance the lives of those who live and work in the community of Horspath". Please download this "Friends of Horspath Membership form", fill it in and return it to or to the address on the form.

News from Horspath Hub @ the Old Chapel and Friends of Horspath
  • All the classes ( Pilates, Yoga, Creative Writing, Computer skills, Table Tennis, Line Dancing, Art Club) are all under way so if you need any information about joining contact Sally on 873860.
  • We now have a FILM CLUB IN THE HUB on the second Wednesday of the month, in the afternoon 2.00pm – 4.00pm. It is organised by Age UK and the cost is £3.50 with Tea and Cake, do come and enjoy the cinema experience. (You need to attend to choose the next film) look out for the Posters. For more information contact Kate on 07827235403. The next Film Club is the afternoon of Wednesday 8th May.
  • The new HORSPATH WINE CLUB has started - the next meeting is Wednesday 15th May 2019, 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm. For more information, visit: www.horspathwineclub.weebly.com. Members only – (Free Membership).
  • Don’t forget The Post Office is open every Friday 10.00am – 1.00pm, and Coffee, Tea and Cakes are served between 10.30am and 12.00, with a chance to have a chat. Now with Wi-Fi as an added extra. To hire the Hub for all types of events ring 07591 933 964 or email .

Horspath Parish Council Meetings
The monthly meetings are held in the Village Hall at 8:00 pm on Tuesdays, usually the first Tuesday of each month. Members of the public are welcome. Meeting dates in 2019 are:

Temple Cowley Health Centre
For Registered Patients only. The next visit by the Doctor will be in 8th May 2019, no visit in April. You must make an appointment with the Health Centre on 777024.

Horspath Garden Club
We would like to welcome anybody interested in any aspect of gardening far and wide to our evenings. Please note we now meet on the second Wednesday of the month at the Horspath Hub at 7.30pm.
The next meeting will be on 8th May.

Horspath Film Club
The next film club is on Wednesday 8th May at 2.00pm in the Hub, with refreshments £3.50.

Horspath Wine Club

Horspath’s own wine club continues on Wednesday 15th May at the Hub. The club consists of people from Horspath and surrounding area who will taste different wines in a relaxed, social group. The club will run on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30pm on the 3rd week of each month. For more details see www.horspathwineclub.weebly.com or contact . See the poster for more info.

Sunny Hill Vineyard Cuddesdon Road, Horspath
Open days on weekends, Saturdays, and Sundays. On Cuddesdon Road, 10.0am till 5.00pm. Plenty of car parking space. Talks and free wine tasting on Saturday only. Play area for children. Visit the Website for more info.

Horspath Village Hall
Baby & Toddler Group - From September meets on Monday mornings in the Main Hall from 9:15 - 11:15 am, during school term times. Please contact Group Organiser, for more information.

Horspath Poetry Corner
March 2018 - Poetry reaches the final stanza - in weekly installments, wonderful verse with illustrations. Find information here. There is also a link at the bottom of the Home page, click on the prancing pony!

Shotover Wildlife
Conservation Work Days - Second Sunday of the month, 9:30am to 3pm. The meeting point varies each month, but is notified by email along with any other details of the day's work. Join us for as long or as short a time as you like and contribute to the important conservation work that SW is carrying out on Shotover. No dogs please, thank you.
