Horspath Garden Club
We would like to welcome anybody interested in any aspect of gardening far and wide to our evenings. Please note we now meet on the second Wednesday of the month at the Horspath Hub at 7.30pm.
Our first meeting in September is often difficult for people to attend as the last of the summer sun calls. We have therefore decided to have a special visit to Batsford Arboretum on the Last Wednesday of the month.
Wednesday 27th September a visit to Batsford Arboretum which is the Cotswolds Secret Garden. We will leave the village hall car park at 10.00am having shared lifts. We have contacted the garden and have established a price for a group visit of £6.00. Please bring a packed lunch, but if you prefer there is a café for lunch or a cuppa on arrival. The garden itself is full of many wonders but we are hoping that there might be some early Autumn colour to add to the wonder of the visit. Everyone is welcome to join us and hopefully some who are prepared to drive.
Wednesday October 11th a visit from Gabriel from The Sylva Project who is going to explain to us about the project at Long Whittenham. They aim to help Britain's trees and woodlands thrive for people and for nature and believe that a dynamic relationship between people and the natural environment is critically important for a sustainable future. Please come along.
For further information contact Sheila Frankum 872793.
